Zander Auto Parts Partners With Auto Value
Minnesota-based Automotive Parts Headquarters Inc. (APH), a family-owned aftermarket auto parts distributor and store group, is pleased to announce the addition of Zander Auto Parts to its family of independently owned Auto Value parts stores.
Zander Auto Parts has been a part of the Pierre community since 1980. The original owner, Tom Zander, sold the parts store to Thad and Julie Smith in December of 2016. Thad has been a part of the store since 1998, mostly recently as assistant manager, and is proud to retain the only locally owned parts store in town.
Since joining Auto Value on April 3rd, the Smiths have been busy updating and expanding the store’s inventory, as well as resetting the entire showroom. Thad and Julie are confident the improvements will allow their store to better meet the auto care needs of area businesses and residents.
On the service side of the business, the parts store will continue to offer machine shop and hydraulic hose replacement services, as well as free battery, starter and alternator testing. They will also continue to supply welding gases and a full line of PPG refinishes.
For hard-to-find parts, Zander Auto Parts will rely on APH’s overnight delivery service. APH’s distribution center is well-known across the Midwest for their large inventory, as well as parts for import, small engine, ag and heavy duty applications.
Zander Auto Parts is located at 500 West Sioux Ave and is open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The Smiths can be reached at 605-224-9221.
To celebrate the store joining the Auto Value program as an independently owned customer of APH, area residents are invited to join Thad and Julie Smith for a customer appreciation event on Wednesday, May 24th. The lunchtime event will feature in-store specials, free food and refreshments.
