Mankato Auto Value Partners with TC Automotive
Mankato, Minn. – February 5, 2010 – Automotive Parts Headquarters, a St. Cloud-based automotive aftermarket distributor and store group, recently completed the relocation of its Mankato Auto Value parts store from Front Street to the TC Automotive building located on Riverfront Drive. The newly merged parts store and machine shop will be known as TC Auto Value.
Automotive Parts Headquarters purchased TC Automotive from Tom Chatleain. Chatleain owned and operated the machine shop business since 1988. He will continue to operate the machine shop.
Prior to the relocation of the Mankato Auto Value parts store, Automotive Parts Headquarters added on 3,000 square-feet of space to the TC Automotive building. The machine shop is now located in the new addition and the parts store can be found in the original building.
“Our new location brings us additional expertise and resources that will allow us to build on our successes and take advantage of new opportunities in the Mankato area,” said Jason Thate, manager of the Mankato Auto Value parts store. “The completion of this merger is good news for our team members and customers.”
Since the merger, Automotive Parts Headquarters has been busy expanding the store’s inventory of parts, supplies and accessories. Most notably, they’ve increased the depth of the store’s nationally branded product lines. Thate is confident the added inventory, coupled with midday and overnight delivery service from Automotive Parts Headquarters, will allow his customers access to the parts they need, when they need them.
Including Chatleain and Thate, the newly merged team consists of seven full-time and five part-time employees. The machine shop and its knowledgeable and experienced team are trained and equipped to handle all machining needs, from piecework to a complete engine rebuild. In addition, the store team has the capability to test alternators, starters and batteries, as well as, the ability and products onsite to mix automotive refinishes.
A grand opening celebration is scheduled for spring of 2010. The event will be open to the public and feature free food, beverages, door prizes and in-store specials.
