Chili Cook-off Raises $1,500 for the Miracle League of Central Minnesota

St. Cloud, Minn. – August 9, 2011 – On August 5th, Automotive Parts Headquarters and its manufacturers’ representatives presented Kelly Baumann and Jim Ringwald, board members of the Miracle League of Central Minnesota, with a $1,500 check on behalf of Auto Value parts stores.  The money will be used to cover a portion of the expenses for the Metro Lions Miracle Field at Whitney Park in St. Cloud.

Automotive Parts Headquarters and its manufacturers’ representatives hosted a chili cook-off during a recent tradeshow event.  More than a dozen chili dishes were entered and all of the money raised went to the Miracle League Field.  “We’re proud to help the Miracle League kickoff its inaugural season,” commented Jim Kruger, regional account manager for Siskel Sales and chili cook-off champion.  “Baseball brings people together.  The new Miracle Field is a first-class ballpark and will enable kids of all ages and abilities to enjoy the game together.”

The Miracle Field opened June 4th.  The field is uniquely designed with a flat-rubberized surface that provides children with mobility issues the ability to move about easier, and more safely, while playing.  An estimated 7,000 local kids will benefit from this new facility.
