Brat Sale Raises $500 for Breast Cancer
St. Cloud, Minn. – November 2, 2011 – On October 22nd, Auto Value parts stores team members and local volunteers hosted a brat sale during the third annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K at Halenbeck Hall. The sale raised more than $500 for the American Cancer Society and breast cancer research. This is the third year Auto Value has supported the event.
Auto Value is also a corporate alliance partner with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Every year, October observes National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and National Car Care Month. To call attention to both educational awareness campaigns, Auto Value parts stores offer materials to customers on the importance of breast health and vehicle preventative maintenance. Plus, they serve as a collection point for donations to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This year, Auto Value’s goal is to surpass its 2010 donation of $50,000.
Community members interested in supporting The Breast Cancer Research Foundation are encouraged to visit their local Auto Value store now through the end of the year or by going on-line to www.bcrfcure.org/800autotalk.com.
