Automotive Parts Headquarters Named by Aftermarket Business as One of the Top Forty Auto Parts Chains of 2009

St. Cloud, Minn. – January 28, 2010 – Automotive Parts Headquarters, a St. Cloud-based automotive aftermarket distributor and store group, has been named in the January issue of Aftermarket Business magazine as one of the top forty auto parts chains of 2009.  Despite adding one corporate store during 2009, Automotive Parts Headquarters dropped from being listed as the fourteenth largest auto parts chain in 2008, to the fifteenth spot in 2009.

Automotive Parts Headquarters is the only company headquartered in Minnesota to make the list.

Each January, Aftermarket Business magazine reports on the nation’s top forty auto parts distributors, ranking businesses based on their total number of company-owned stores.

Of the 40 auto parts chains listed, few have seen reduced store counts, and most saw heightened success.  Seventy-percent of the top 10 chains have seen store count boosts despite a recession that spilled over from 2008.
