Balk Named Impact Player of the Year
APH named Mandy Balk as the recipient of the 2020 Auto Value Impact Player of the Year award. Balk is the manager of the Thorp Auto Value parts store. She was recognized during a virtual awards banquet at APH’s annual Winter Conference on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.
Each year Auto Value regional managers throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Montana, Michigan and Wyoming have the opportunity to nominate a store manager they believe deserves the award.
Balk was nominated by Matt Koxlien, regional manager for the Thorp store. Koxlien commented, “Mandy is well-known throughout the community as an energetic, trustworthy and highly respected manager and parts person. She has done a phenomenal job building her team and together, they’ve built a well-rounded and thriving business.”
Balk has been a member of the Thorp Auto Value team since 2010. In 2014, she was named Auto Value Counterperson of the Year.
When not behind the counter she enjoys spending time with her husband, Josh, and their son, Landon. As a family, they are very active in local motorsports events.
