Auto Value Counterperson of the Year 2011

St. Cloud, Minn. – January 19, 2012 – Automotive Parts Headquarters Inc., a St. Cloud-based aftermarket auto parts distributor and store group, named Karl Beck as the recipient of the 2011 Auto Value Counterperson of the Year award. Beck is a counterperson for the Park Rapids Auto Value parts store. He was recognized during an awards banquet at Automotive Parts Headquarters’ annual Winter Conference on Monday, January 16, 2012 at Cragun’s Resort in Brainerd, Minnesota.

Each year Auto Value parts store managers throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and Michigan have the opportunity to nominate a counterperson they believe deserves the award.

“Karl is the go-to-guy at the store when it comes to any issue related to paint, body and equipment,” said Lynn Johnson, store manager. “He is great with customers, knows how to get his hands dirty in the machine shop and can cover the store as needed.”

Beck began his career in the automotive aftermarket when he went to work for A & B Auto Parts after finishing his postsecondary education for auto parts sales and service. Seventeen years later, he joined the Riverside Auto Parts team in Detroit Lakes and worked his way up from outside sales to store manager. In 2008, he transferred to the Park Rapids Auto Value parts store where he has been the lead counterperson ever since.
