Egeland Named Counterperson of the Year

APH named Wayne Egeland as the recipient of the 2020 Auto Value Counterperson of the Year award. Egeland is a counterperson for the Grafton Auto Value parts store. He was recognized during a virtual awards banquet at APH’s annual Winter Conference on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.

Each year Auto Value store managers and regional managers throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Montana, Michigan and Wyoming have the opportunity to nominate a counterperson they believe deserves the award.

Egeland was nominated by Michael Schroeder, regional manager for the Grafton store. Schroeder commented, “Wayne is the best of the best — if he can’t find it, it’s not made. His sense of urgency and the manner in which he strives to take care of his customers is contagious.”

Egeland has been a member of the Grafton Auto Value team since 2012, when APH acquired the store from H.E. Everson. He started working for H.E. Everson in 1968 as a part-time employee while attending college at NDSU for agronomy.

When not behind the counter, Egeland enjoys spending time with his wife, Tami, and their dog, Eddy. He also enjoys taking care of cars, landscaping, attending sporting events and bowling.
