Auto Value Counter Person of the Year 2010

St. Cloud, Minn. – January 20, 2011 – Automotive Parts Headquarters, a St. Cloud-based aftermarket auto parts distributor and store group, named Brad Blomberg as the recipient of the 2010 Auto Value Counterperson of the Year award.  Blomberg is a counterperson for the Detroit Lakes Auto Value parts store.  He was recognized during an awards banquet at Automotive Parts Headquarters’ annual Winter Conference on Monday, January 17, 2011 at Cragun’s Resort in Brainerd, Minnesota.

Each year Auto Value parts store managers throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and Michigan have the opportunity to nominate a counterperson they believe deserves the award.

“Brad is the go-to-guy at the store when it comes to finding odd parts, outsourcing or any issue related to paint,” said Jon Anderson, Auto Value parts stores regional manager.  “He is reliable, always on time and willing to help out and cover the store as needed.”

Blomberg began his career in the automotive industry when he worked at his parents’ auto parts store from 1988 to 1991.  He joined the Auto Value group in 1994 and has worked at the Detroit Lakes store since August of 2000.

When not behind the counter, Blomberg enjoys spending time with his wife, Deb, and their children, Rachel and Emily.  He also takes pleasure in home brewing, computer repair, playing guitar and deer hunting.  He is an active member of his local church, where he is on the board and sings in the choir.  Blomberg and his family also spend a considerable amount of time helping out at the area food shelf.
