Aurora Parts Store Joins Auto Value

Aurora Auto Value

APH is pleased to announce the addition of JR Parts LLC to its family of independently-owned Auto Value parts stores. The location will now be known as Aurora Auto Value.

Randy Peterson and Joe Vesel took ownership of the business in 2017, which had been operating under the Carquest banner since 2011. Paul Kahtava has joined the ownership team and will be the acting store manager in Aurora.

Peterson and Vesel’s Mountain Iron location was acquired by APH. A business merger with the Virginia Auto Value parts store took place the week of September 22nd. The combined business is operating from the Mountain Iron location and is undergoing a building expansion to make room for the increased inventory levels.

During the conversion to the Auto Value program, Aurora has undergone a major facelift on the exterior of their building with a professional paint scheme, new signage and increased lighting. The showroom also received an overhaul with new shelving installed to accommodate a much larger merchandise assortment for do-it-yourself customers and professional installers. New product offerings in heavy duty, agricultural, and PBE were also included in the inventory update project. Peterson and Kahtava have seen an immediate increase in customer traffic and are ecstatic about being able to better supply the vehicle repair needs of Aurora area businesses and residents.

On the service side of the business, Aurora Auto Value will continue to offer hydraulic hose making and free testing of batteries, starters, and alternators. They will also continue to offer free installation of wiper blades when purchased from the store.

For hard-to-find parts, Aurora Auto Value will benefit from midday and overnight delivery service. APH’s St. Cloud, Minnesota, distribution center is one of the largest in the Midwest and well-known for its broad inventory coverage for import, small engine, agricultural and heavy-duty applications.

Aurora Auto Value is located at 212 Main Street South with weekday hours of 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. New weekend hours are 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday. The Aurora team can be reached at (218) 229-2144.

A grand opening will be scheduled in 2021 when the weather improves and we can safely get back together for a large celebration. In the meantime, Peterson, Vessel and Kahtava invite all area residents to stop by and see the exciting store improvements.
