APH Expands its Independent Store Family with Gordon Location
APH is excited to announce the newest addition to its network of independently-owned stores: Husker Auto Parts, owned by Casey and Julie Walton, located in Gordon, Nebraska. The locally-owned business will now proudly operate under the Auto Value Parts Stores banner.
Casey Walton has been pivotal to the success of Husker Auto Parts since 1979, during its affiliation with the Big A auto parts chain. In 1997, the Waltons assumed ownership, leading the transition to CARQUEST in 1998. Their expertise and dedication have played a crucial role in the store’s growth and reputation, solidifying its position as a trusted automotive hub in the community.
“Since joining forces with Auto Value, our walk-in business has skyrocketed, doubling in just a short time,” commented Casey Walton. “As a small-town parts store, partnering with Auto Value has given us access to a vast inventory, one of the largest in the area. The addition of premium products like Pico wiring accessories, Grote lights, and essential agricultural components such as hitch pins highlights the breadth of our expanded offerings, allowing us to better serve both our loyal patrons and new customers.”
Corey Bartlett, CEO of APH, expressed his excitement, saying, “The Waltons are respected members of the Gordon community, known for their dedication to delivering top-notch parts and outstanding service. We are honored that they have chosen APH to bolster their commitment to customer service. This partnership marks an exciting milestone for APH as we broaden our presence in western Nebraska.”
Since affiliating with the Auto Value program, Husker Auto Parts has seen significant improvements, including updated exterior signage and a fully renovated showroom. With these enhancements, the Waltons are thrilled to offer an expanded product inventory, better meeting the needs of local businesses and residents in the Gordon area.
Husker Auto Parts will continue to provide its existing services, such as custom hydraulic hoses and battery cables, as well as battery and wiper blade installations. For hard-to-find parts, the store will benefit from expedited overnight delivery service from APH’s distribution center in Rapid City, South Dakota. This distribution center, one of three APH distribution centers in the Midwest, maintains a comprehensive inventory of parts and supplies for domestic and imported vehicles, heavy and medium-duty trucks, as well as agricultural equipment, among others.
Conveniently situated at 221 N Main Street, Husker Auto Parts operates on weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with slightly shorter hours from 6:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays. The Waltons can be reached at (308) 282-2100.
