Northwood University Honors John Bartlett with Automotive Aftermarket Management Education Award

St. Cloud, Minn. – November 7, 2011 – Northwood University honored John Bartlett, CEO of Automotive Parts Headquarters Inc. (APH), with its annual Automotive Aftermarket Management Education Award on Tuesday, November 1, at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.  The award was presented during a luncheon at the annual Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo Show (AAPEX).

The Northwood Automotive Aftermarket Management Education Award is given to individuals in the Automotive Aftermarket field who have made noteworthy contributions to education, on any level, inside or outside of the industry.  The award is in recognition of a substantial dedication, over a number of years, to the education process and the Automotive Aftermarket field.

Since 1976, Bartlett had led APH through significant growth.  Realizing employee training and development are critical to the success of the organization, APH has invested heavily in this area for more than 700 team members and hundreds of employees of its independent store partners.  Education and training commitments include a strong relationship with the University of the Aftermarket (UofA), having sent personnel to the past seven Leadership 2010/2.0 programs, as well as hosting UofA sessions at their annual training and education conference.  Each month APH produces a 30-minute DVD to discuss new products, customer service and technical skills.  An annual training and education conference and other high-level educational and training programs take place throughout the year.
