Eau Claire Auto Parts Receives 2014 Auto Care Association Head of the Class Award

St. Cloud, Minn. — September 3, 2014 — The Auto Care Association has chosen Eau Claire Auto Parts, a network of three Auto Value parts stores owned and operated by Jim and Cheryl Meyers, as the recipient of its 2014 Head of the Class Award in the jobber category. The award is administered by the Auto Care Association Education Committee on behalf of the association, and was created to highlight and recognize businesses that continually invest in employee education and training.

Eau Claire Auto Parts was selected based on its education and training practices, including what prompted the parts store network to invest in training, the types of training accomplished, the initial goals, experiences, results of the training and any future plans.

“The size of Eau Claire Auto Parts demonstrates that businesses of all types can introduce and implement education and training programs to meet the professional and personal needs of our auto care industry family,” said Kathleen Schmatz, president and CEO, Auto Care Association. “The Meyers have noted improvements in teamwork, morale, sales and customer satisfaction while at the same time reducing turnover.”

The Meyers were recognized at the Auto Care Association’s Fall Leadership Days in Boston, Mass., on September 4, 2014. They also received an award to share with their team and display at their stores.
