Auto Value Independents Take It to the Falls
APH recently hosted its 2024 Independent Store Meeting at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The two-day event brought together nearly 25 independent store owners and their guests for a comprehensive program of business training, supplier presentations and department updates.
APH staff led a series of informative sessions covering essential topics such as POS training, pricing strategies, inventory management, eCommerce solutions, employee development, marketing initiatives and more. In addition, supplier partners like Dorman Products, NorthPro Representatives, Milwaukee Tools, BBB, Mevotech, and Highline Warren offered valuable insights, strengthening the relationships that help fuel the success of Auto Value’s independent store network.
One of the highlights of the event was an evening of fun and networking at Rough Cut Social, where attendees enjoyed axe throwing, engaging conversation, and a decadent “death by dessert” bar. The event provided an opportunity for independent store owners, APH staff, and supplier partners to connect and unwind in a relaxed, social setting.
The final day of the meeting included a presentation from APH CEO Corey Bartlett, who provided an industry update and shared insights on the latest trends and opportunities in the automotive aftermarket. Following the update, attendees toured the APH Store Support Center in Sioux Falls, with visits to the distribution center, BENCO Equipment, Refinish Supply Co., and Auto Value Sioux Falls. These tours offered a behind-the-scenes look at the operations that support the independent store network and keep it running smoothly.
This annual meeting served as a valuable opportunity for independent store owners to collaborate, gain new insights and share strategies to grow their businesses in the coming year.
