APH Strengthens Presence in Nebraska

APH recently completed the acquisition of Norfolk Auto Supply, Wisner Auto Parts and Plainview Auto Supply in northeast Nebraska. All three locations will be rebranded as Auto Value parts stores and complement APH’s existing locations in Alliance and Chadron.

APH purchased the stores from Jim Scheer. Scheer’s father, Lester Scheer, opened Norfolk Auto Supply in 1931, Plainview Auto Supply in the early 1950s and Wisner Auto Parts in the early 1980s. Over the years, all three of Lester’s sons, Tom, John and Jim worked in the business. The store group was a member of Federated Auto Parts for more than 25 years.

Each location will undergo significant remodeling and remerchandising as they transform into new Auto Value parts stores. Once completed, each store will feature an updated and expanded inventory of parts, supplies and accessories for automotive, agricultural, commercial and recreational applications. For hard-to-find parts, each location will have access to overnight delivery from APH’s distribution center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. On the service side of the business, Norfolk will continue to offer Axalta paint and Wisner will continue to build custom hydraulic hoses.

Norfolk Auto Supply is located at 127 South 6th Street in Norfolk. Retail hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., and from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Saturday. The Norfolk team can be reached at 402-371-1030.
