2014 College Scholarship Recipients

St. Cloud, Minn. — October 31, 2014 — Eric Hammerschmidt, Conner Mevissen, Margaret Mae Edmison, Roger Keck, Quinn Parisien, Bethany Tangen, Erin Thompson and Andrea Zimpel were eight of the 39 students nationally selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship from Auto Value to use at the trade school, college or university of their choice.

Hammerschmidt and Mevissen are Advancing the Aftermarket scholarship recipients. This scholarship targets students who have chosen a career in the automotive aftermarket sector, and is open to all Alliance members and their children, as well as non-aligned students who are not associated with a competing program distribution group.

Edmison, Keck, Parisien, Tangen, Thompson and Zimpel are Auto Value scholarship recipients. This scholarship is for students who are employed or whose parents are employed by an Auto Value warehouse, parts store or certified service center since September 1, 2013.

Eric Hammerschmidt is from Shakopee, Minnesota. He will be attending Hennepin Technical College.

 

Connor Mevissen is from Becker, Minnesota. He will be attending St. Cloud Technical and Community College.

 

Margaret Mae Edmison is from Red Wing, Minnesota. She will be attending Metropolitan State University.

 

Roger Keck is from Burtrum, Minnesota. He will be attending St. Cloud Technical and Community College.

 

Quinn Parisien is from Belcourt, North Dakota. She will be attending the University of North Dakota – Grand Forks.

 

Bethany Tangen is from Roseau, Minnesota. She will be attending Bethel University.

 

Erin Thompson is from Zimmerman, Minnesota. She will be attending Concordia College – Moorehead.

 

Andrea Zimpel is from Isle, Minnesota. She will be attending the University of Northwestern – St. Paul.
