Delivery Driver

Job Summary: 
The delivery driver is responsible for providing sales service to customers by delivering parts to customers and making pickups from customers and vendors as needed.   In addition, this person is responsible for maintaining the company vehicle they use in excellent condition. The delivery driver may also assist our retail and wholesale customers.  The delivery driver is also responsible for assisting in maintaining store appearance, security, safety and daily operational standards, as set by the store manager and assigned.  This position will also assist on the counter.

Qualifications: 
A delivery driver is an individual who has average verbal and written communication skills. Must have strong organization skills and ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the company as well as customers, vendors and visitors. Should also be familiar with store operating procedures.   Some knowledge of Auto Parts business is a plus.

Requirements: 
A delivery driver works primarily indoors in a clean store environment or driving a motor vehicle making deliveries, but also may spend time in the warehouse and outdoors, subject to significant temperature variations and shop conditions.  Based on this working environment and the nature of the job, a delivery driver must be able to stand for prolonged periods on hard surfaces, frequent bending, stooping, stretching and climbing stairs.  A delivery driver must be able to frequently lift up to 50lbs.   A delivery driver must also have a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to our insurance company.  Monday through Friday day shifts.
